Looking to satisfy a sweet tooth without adding any sugar to your snacks? We’ve got you covered with this easy walnut date cake recipe you can cut up into bars and enjoy freely! Because this recipe does not call for any added sugar we recommend using UNBOUND’s delicious Butter Toffee Walnuts and our Organic Medjool Dates for that extra touch of sweetness.
This recipe is good for those trying to avoid processed sugars because the sweetness comes from Natural Sugars, from UNBOUND’s Butter Toffee Walnuts, our Pitted Organic Medjool Dates, the honey, and shredded coconut!
Ingredients
½ Cup Melted Butter
1 Cup Honey
2 Large Eggs
¾ Cup All-Purpose Unbleached Flour
½ Tsp Baking Powder
1 Pinch of Salt
-
1 Cup Finely Chopped Butter Toffee Walnuts
-
1 Cup Finely Chopped Organic Medjool Dates
¼ Cup Shredded Coconut
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F
Add the melted butter, honey, and eggs into a large bowl, then add in the flour, baking powder, salt, and thoroughly combine.
Mix in your Medjool dates and walnuts, until they are well integrated.
Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan and spread the mixture evenly.
Place your pan in the center rack and bake for 20 minutes, before you remove your cake from the oven be sure to check if it’s fully baked by poking it with a toothpick, if the toothpick comes out clean then your cake is fully baked!
Remove your cake from the oven and cut into bars and roll in shredded coconut, allow to cool before serving and enjoy!
